Agak tidak kreatif, nampaknya, menjuduli dua post dengan kata yang sama dalam tempo yang sesingkat-singkatnya berdekatan, tapi karena ini (kayaknya) cocok dengan isinya (we’ll see about that, girlie..) ya udahlah, let’s turn a blind eye to the matter for a while.
Tomorrow, my three-day leave will commence.
as i’ve said in prev post, i’ll be going to saga-home, return to jogja before finally go back to jakarta on saturday, insyaallah. But another thing is in the spotlight tonight. Ladies and gents, behold the evening’s star: train ticket reservation by phone!! *audience applauding :p*
My trip to jogja yesterday was it only sunday? It already felt like a year was by train. Few days ago, after a short hubby-wifey discussion about the transportation mode and when would be best to go home, we finally decided to take the train; financial-wise.
Not wanting to be bothered with all the preparations: the long line in front of the ticket booth, not to mention them calos at work (main reason, this one) :p and to anticipate the disappointment if no seats were available, i decided to make a reservation by phone. So, i called 121.
It turned to be a lot easier than i thought. You simply need to state your name and id number, and also which train you wish to take, of course. Although for the first enquiry, tickets for jan 21 had been sold out, the next day’s seats were still available. The lovely lady on the other end of the phone was very nice and she gave information in a good-to-hear way. ![]()
After getting all the data needed, she gave a booking code and a payment code. I was told to pay via atm and then exchange the payment slip with the ticket at the train station. Next day, husband’s duty was to exchange the ticket, and he reported (aih, reported, diksinya^^;) that there were indeed long lines of passengers-to-be trying to get the seats, but the counter intended for exchanging payment slip with ticket was not crowded at all. It was easy and fast, getting the tickets. The whole thing was kind of similar with getting the airplane tickets by contacting garuda call center actually, but as this was my first experience for train tickets (a satisfying one, at that), i feel the need to share it here.
Satu yang paling menyenangkan dari ritual pesan tiket macam ini: ga pake acara nggonduk sak nggonduk-nggonduke gara-gara calo yang me-mark up harga sakpenakudeledewe. ![]()
The almost the same thing happened again today, as i made a reservation for saturday. Cutting the story short, i went to stasiun tugu in the afternoon-bagian reservasi. Many were waiting for their turn to get the ticket. As i saw no special counter for phone reservation, i approached the nearest one from the door. Asked the lady where i could exchange the slip, and had her replied that there-her counter- would be fine and i didn’t need to queue. (yay!) in less than a minute i already got my tickets printed and handed to me. *stepped out the door feeling like a boss -9gag :p* The cab we rode on was even just done parking when we got to the parking lot.
Thumbs up for KAI’s phone ticket reservation. ![]()
*wishing that in near future the reservation/payment could be made online or by smsbanking :p *
