am i riding my horse faster than you are?
tell yours to bite mine’s tail..
be on my side, don’t lag behind

.. you are as happy as i am now…
.. the lifted corners of your lips are the uplifted heart of yours..
.. your days are filled with simple yet precious joy as mine are..
the burdens will not exceed our capability in carrying them, but sometimes they are almost unbearable…
it is when writing is an obligation, not something that comes from your heart.
three hours and still nothing. i hate it.
Happy Birthday Daddy…
i love you, always.
as shown here on the right corner of my notebook..
feeling the usual-early-morning gloom, something i bound to experience everytime i got up way too late.. haven’t found the cause, but one factor that makes it sometimes unbearable is the silence. thankfully i have my fan and my clock.
oh well, ternyata selain mood yang tau-tau memburuk, diksi juga terpengaruh. hard to think straight, eh? nomor tujuhpuluhkan grammar, kalau begitu.
course you notice that people, almost evryone perhaps, use some special numbers for pin numbers, passwords, etc. but it was not until today that i felt the stinging J-word merely because that date. yeah, people got their options, i know.. it’s just that… well… i don’t like it.
bad, this thing is. i dont want to fall for the trap, but how can i avoid that?
have i started to take things for granted, once more?
let’s hope i don’t..
..in rags?
No, this isn’t about anything old, borrowed, new, or blue.
the three of us went out to get something to wear for some weddings we’re attending. not because i really want to wear something new, but it is merely because there’s nothing i own that’s appropriate enough, and the primary factor is because i have gained some unnecessary extra pounds – thus the new clothes.
today being the election day, the mall was so full of people (remind me not to go there in the next five years, ok?
). men, women, children everywhere.
the initial plan was to get some clothes, check out some books – about diet, too – in the three bookstores there, watch the movie. yet, history tells us that neither of them happened.
people queued everywhere: movie, restaurants, restrooms. and somehow that got on my nerves. this negative feeling was worsened with the fact that finding a piece that fits me was so difficult! so many to choose from, yet there’s nothing i like.
we did get some things, though, and i’m glad now we did.
but i was already too upset to notice this then, and my anger got the best of me. what’s been good and enjoyable was forgotten. i grew sullen, i was in such a sour mood i dragged my bag along with me, like linus with his blanket. and it also was getting late, so we – well, he, actually- decided to go home. still full of anger, if i may add. the mood hadn’t changed until we got home.
i wanted to discuss this with him, but he said that it was too late he should just go home. out of sudden rage i threw away the bag.
seeing this, he told me to pick it up and then he sat down. tears of anger stung my eyes but he then said something that went straight to my being.
‘don’t throw things away just like that. what do you think bought that stuff? who gave you the money to buy it?‘
all this, said in a soothing tone, made me realize that i truly had done a stupid thing, i had been so ungrateful.
i calmed down, and further he said to me, how satan loves these kinds of situation, laughing at us when someone’s angry, unable to control his emotion, covered in negative thoughts. upon hearing this i wiped my eyes dry, tried to smile, and said to him that i don’t want to be laughed at.
yea, true that i haven’t got any clothes today, but there’s still tomorrow, right? and we had so much fun today. no need to think about those silly negative whispers that sneaked into the brain. we had more fun!

among so many blessings given to me, he’s one of the greatest.
<thank you for letting him come into my life and make things better and a whole lot more beautiful..>
ndak da hubungan ama judul, below is my first english assignment. kalo mataharinya emang lagi oren kaya telur setengah mateng warnanya. (jadi laper) tadi belum jadi maju, makanya masukin sini ajah.. hehehe..
ndak usah dikasi judul ah.
Imagine you’re being late for something. School, work, a date, you name it. With no personal vehicle you own, and the traffic jam is now a constant nuisance, what would you do to get to the place you want to be?
Since we do not live in the Harry Potter’s world of wizardry where we can easily Disapparate, fly with a broom or use Floo powder, nor do we live aboard the Enterprise where we can easily use a transporter like Capt. Spock does, we are bound to find a means of transportation that would get us to our destination as fast as we can. Now what would suffice this requirement?
Take a bus? Obviously this is not a good idea although it is the cheapest. Bus gets easily trapped in a traffic jam, and not that easily to get out of. So do taxis and other four-wheeled public transportations.
Now take one wheel away. You get yourself a bajaj. Will this be the answer to the aforementioned problem? Again, it’s another no. Bajaj, despite being fast – sometimes – cannot go on the main road. So it is not a wise choice, especially when you are heading to MH Thamrin from Sudirman.
What about the train? Now, unless you live near a train station and know the train schedule by heart, or have enough patience and time to wait, we don’t suggest you to hop on one. This is not a country where trains depart and arrive exactly every four-and-a-half minutes. Waiting is time-consuming, and it could feel like ages when you’re in a hurry.
And so you think: what available mode of transportation is a good choice in such situation? Ojek might be the answer. Being the only means of public transportation that can go through small corridors and passages, hence avoiding the traffic, ojek has become a necessity in big cities such as Jakarta.
When ojek first appeared was not known, nor who the first tukang ojek was. Yet, after the banning of becaks – pedicabs – in 1994, the number of ojeks in Jakarta indeed started to increase. When the monetary crisis hit the country and mass layoffs were not uncommon, more people became tukang ojeks. Those who suffered from the downsizing in their previous occupations chose this profession as it was hard to find a new job. The need to go from place to place without having to be delayed by traffic jam added up to the reason of ojek’s increasing number. The growth of ojek is also supported by the ease in motorcycles’ credit schemes and the cheap price of Chinese-made motorcycles.
Ojek or motorcycle taxis are usually spotted near crossroads and T-junctions, although you can find them near residential areas, traditional markets, train stations, and office buildings too. We can easily identify these tukang ojeks. We believe that you are familiar with such sight: a group of men –ranging from teenagers to middle-aged folks – wearing worn-out jackets, with their motorcycles nearby, their spot sometimes marked with a piece of paper or a board with the word ‘OJEK’ written on it, all wait for passengers who will use their services. Cast your look upon them or walk towards them, and more often than not they will look at your direction and raise a finger, a gesture that asks: Do you need my ojek service? A simple nod should suffice; one of them will start the engine and come to you.
After negotiating the fare – one crucial factor in using the ojek service, you must bargain it first if you don’t want to pay more than you should – that depends on where you’re going, he will give you a spare helmet (they usually have one ready for the passenger) and you can then enjoy the fast ride (tukang ojeks tend to speed up) and soon will arrive to your destination.
Unlike bajajs or buses who have specific routes, you can go almost anywhere with an ojek. However, tukang ojeks generally have their own stations. They will wait for passengers there. Each station also has its own unwritten rules. One commonly noted is that they take turns carrying the passengers. This has an exception, especially with regular customers. Not all tukang ojek ride their motorcycles in a similar way. You may find yourself that you are comfortable with the way one guy rides and not with the others. When you use their service often enough to know this fact, you can choose which ojek you want to use. Technology also facilitates tukang ojeks nowadays. Simply by sending a text message to your favorite tukang ojek, he will come to your door – or wherever you tell him to pick you up – ready to render his ojek service.
The choice is in your hands, now you can either nod to the beckoning tukang ojek and get to your destination sooner or choose other ways of transportation which could mean more time wasted and more stress due to the traffic jam.
